New Venue - Mt Victoria, Hataitai

Exciting new venue on tracks of Mt Victoria Over the last 3 years some new tracks, WCC MTB signs and a purpose built Kids Skills area have been put in up at Mt Victoria, so there are now a series of tracks suitable for novice upwards.
The easier tracks will be used for the Jams and unlike Trentham we have ups and cool downs, so a little more challenging than Trentham but hopefully even more fun.

Course Details

We will be mainly be using the Intro' tracks marked on the WCC track board, with 6yrs and under doing a short loop course from the velodrome to the WCC Kids Skills area and back, via part of Alexandra Rd.
The kids 7 and over will all do the whole of the Intro loop (avoiding the steep climb up to the soccer field), with 10yrs and over doing an extra loop to Charles Plimmer Park and back.
As this is not a race children can go up or down age groups as suits their ability, however, all children 6yrs or under must have an adult accompany them.

Course Map

Start and finish will be at velodrome - there is parking by Netball courts - there will be limited parking up at velodrome ( but this will be closed off from 9.00 - 1pm ) as kids will be biking through the parking area up there.
Alexandra Rd will be closed from Constable st, to near the toilets down from the Summit), from 9 - 1pm as kids will be cycling up the side of the road for part of the course.

Skills area - as in the past this will be built on the day specially for the Jams and will be at at the velodrome.

Registration & Starts Times

Children pick up their Jams packs and water bottles at registration, then receive a medal when they finish their course.
Any event merchandise ordered will be given out at registration.

9.30 - 10.15 - 9yrs and over
10.15 - 11 - 8 yrs and under

Starts
Untill entries are finalised we are unable to give exact start times, however, briefing will be shortly after the registration for each age group is timed to finish - as above.
The order of starts will be approximately as follows;
10 yrs and over - 10.25 - approx
7 & 8 years - 11am
6 yrs and under - 11.30
